What is MPS-A, -B, -C?
MPS-A, -B, -C are the certificates related to environmental registration. The qualifications MPS-A, -B and C are awarded to MPS-participants who register their use of plant protection products, fertilizers, energy and waste every four weeks. At the end of the period the participants send the registration information to MPS. MPS processes this information on the basis of calculation regulations. A maximum number of points that can be obtained, has been determined for each theme. The distribution of points can be different for countries outside North-West Europe as a result of adding the theme water. On the basis of the total number of points obtained the participant is awarded a qualification, either MPS-A, -B or -C, four times per year. The qualification MPS-A stands for the most environmentally aware cultivation. The qualification Participant (D) is awarded if a participant has registered 3 consecutive periods or has registered 13 periods and has scored less than 10 points on the four themes.
